How This IP Checker Works

1️⃣

We Detect Your IP

When you open this page, your browser sends a secure request to a third-party IP lookup API to detect your public IP address.

2️⃣

We Show Basic Details

The response includes country, city, timezone and ISP information linked to that IP. We simply display it here in a clean layout.

3️⃣

You Copy & Share If Needed

Use the copy buttons to share your IP with support teams, server admins or when whitelisting addresses in firewalls and dashboards.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is my IP address sensitive information?

Your public IP is usually known to websites you visit. It is not as private as a password, but you still should not post it everywhere publicly. Some services use IPs to block spam, apply rate limits or restrict access by country.

Why does the IP location show a different city?

IP databases are not perfect. Sometimes they show the location of your provider’s data center instead of your actual city. VPNs and mobile networks also route traffic through different regions which can change the detected location.

Can I change my IP address?

You can change the IP that websites see by using a VPN, proxy, mobile hotspot or sometimes by restarting your router (if your ISP uses dynamic IPs). For a fixed IP, some providers offer a dedicated static IP as a paid add-on.

Does this tool work on mobile and desktop?

Yes. It works in any modern browser on desktop, laptop, tablet and mobile devices. The IP shown is whatever your current connection uses to reach the internet.
